Ok.. I inherited some other guys team from last year... I need to pick 2 guys to carry over to this upcoming season... Ive never done a sleeper league so Im a bit lost

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

As u can see, biggest 2 projected players are Steve Smith (def taking him) and the Jets DST (keeping a dst seems a bit foolish) The reason the WRs are so point heavy is because of the wacky scoring:

Plus 6 points for a ReTD of 1 to 33 Yds
Plus 9 points for a ReTD of 34 to 66 Yds
Plus 12 points for a ReTD of 67 to 99 Yds
This is for receiving TDs.. so the longer of a receiving TD, the more points you get. The same parameters also apply to passing Tds and rushing Tds, but obviously plays that long are less common for RBs

Heres a rundown of defensive (DST) scoring:

DFR - Defensive/ST Fumble Recovered (ID/DT/DST)2 points
DTD - Total Defensive and Special Teams TD 8 points
Int - Interceptions 2 points

PA - Points Against, Total Points Scored0 - 0 PAs = 20 points
2 - 6 PA = 10 points
7 - 10 PA = 8 points
11 - 19 PA = 5 points

SACK - Sack 1 point
STY - Safety 5 points

A couple other things worth noting -

Id guess theres only about a 50% chance I will play this league next year, so who I keep from last year means less.

I like Benson for this season, but the way the points are set up, why not take Smith + Jets DST? THey are far and away the highest projected players on my team.

Ive got a ton of WRs I have my eyes on for this draft who I will be able to snatch up.

Roster is: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 DST, 1 K, 7 BENCH

BTW, any player I draft in the first round I cannot keep the following year.

I am drafting 4th out of 12.

Ok guys, lemme hear it...

Hmmmm..........Not much of a keeper league......Most I've seen you get to keep AT LEAST four

I would keep 2 of these 3.......

Benson
Forte
Rivers

Receivers are deep and you shouldn't have a problem replacing what you currenty have.

Unless of course you think you can snatch up Arian Foster or Jahvid Best in the draft.

Im really down on Forte, will probably go Rivers and Benson (the latter who im high on), plus with the wacky scoring for long TDs that should bode well for Rivers

I think Forte has a bounce back year.

But....I agree you should probably keep Rivers and one of the RB's and if it's Benson you feel better about then that would work and you should be able to grab some receivers and hopefully Arian Foster or Jahvid Best will be there for your 2nd RB.

Ya would be nice. Especially like Best. One problem - as i mentioned in OP, a player you draft in the first round cannot be one of your keepers the following yr

so if i draft Best, I cant keep him for 2011

pretty lame huh?
